This is unsurprising news given the current trends in film, but today Warner Brothers confirmed that Martin Campbell’s upcoming Green Lantern adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds will be in 3D. With the success of Avatar and other 3D films working in concert with the natural fit the title would be, this announcement was more of a formality than anything.
But still, who can’t wait to see Reynolds as Hal Jordan and Mark Strong as Sinestro rolling through Sector 2814 in glorious 3D? I know I can’t.
Filming has started in New Orleans with a launch of July 17th, 2011. Expect a lot more news about this film between now and then, and Multiversity will be right there to give it to you.
