Update: Now with official cover art!

Original Story: As revealed by the Hollywood Reporter, the green skinned assassin from “Guardians of the Galaxy” Gamora is getting her own solo comic series written by “Guardians” screenwriter Nicole Perlman. Very little about the series is known – not even an artist or a month of release – but it’s the first comic series for Perlman and the first solo one for Gamora.

This further proves how all in on the Guardians Marvel really is, as if we needed proof of that after the movie was the sensation of 2014’s summer box office season. That means every Guardian from the film stars or co-stars in a book of their own save for Drax, if you include Groot as a co-star in Skottie Young’s “Rocket Raccoon” book. As amazing as Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning’s run once was, I must admit I never expected that to happen.

More on this as it comes out, but given the premium name writing, I have to imagine they’ll bring a big gun on to draw it as well.
