We were pretty excited for the announcement of Jamie S Rich’s new video interview series airing on YouTube when it was first announced, especially after the use of a giant phallic donut to tease the series. That Jamie Rich is quite an awesome guy.
And now, the first episode is live! Featuring an interview with Matt Wagner, Part 1 can be streamed above, which you should then immediately follow with a watch of Part 2 and Part 3. Wagner’s an incredibly talented and influential comic book creator, with books like “Grendel” and “Mage” under his belt — the former of which easily being one of the defining anti-heroes of the Dark Horse boom of creator-owned comics. Listening to him chat with Rich is pretty darn fascinating.
It’s also worth noting that the production quality of the show is incredibly high. I don’t watch a lot of YouTube series, but I’m very impressed with how damn good this looks. And Part III involves cooking! Who doesn’t love cooking?
