On Wednesday, “Harley Quinn” #50 will hit comic shops. The oversized ‘anniversary’ issue will feature a number of iconic artists from DC’s stable, playing around not just with Harley, but with the larger DC Universe and even the Multiverse. This is due to the presence of Jonni DC, as well as Harley having, kinda, sorta, broken continuity. Over the next few days, we will be revealing a few of the myriad creators stepping into this issue, written by regular series writer Sam Humphries. Today, we feature “DC Superhero Girls” artist Agnes Garbowska!

Garbowska had this to say about her pages:
When I got my script from Sam, the script read, “Harley makes her PUNK ROCK debut!” I got so excited. I rolled with it and really thought about how would high school Harley wear this look? She would go overboard and just have fun with it. That’s Harley! The 90s punk look really served this role well and I really thought of what I wore when I tried to be “Punk.” Layers and more layers! – of anything and everything that I thought looked cool. It did not matter if it matched or not. If I liked it, I wore it. I feel this would be Harley’s approach as well. My Harley is just taking punk and making it fun, and hers. No matter what, my Harley is true to herself.
Humphries had this to say about why he wanted Garbowska to do some pages on the book:
I was absolutely delighted when I saw Agnes’ pages. She did a variant cover for “Jonesy,” and I’ve been a big fan ever since. Her work combines fun and emotion, so I knew she’d do a great job with her particular sequence. The pages are 100% Garabowska and that’s exactly what we wanted!
Make sure to check back tomorrow, when we can exclusively reveal two more artists featured in the book. And thanks again to DC for providing this exclusive for Multiversity.
