For the past few years, “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.” has been telling tales from the Mignolaverse past, organized by year. Starting with June’s ‘The Beast of Vargu,’ we are getting stories from the series without the year designation, and in August we’ll be getting another: “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Saturn Returns.” We can exclusively share the cover and solicitation for the first issue of the three-part series, which sees “B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know” co-writers Mike Mignola and Scott Allie reunite with Christopher Mitten. Mitten previously illustrated an issue of ‘The Devil You Know,’ as well as handled art for “Rise of the Black Flame,” “Rasputin: Voice of the Dragon,” and more.

Also of note is the Mignolaverse debut of colorist Brennan Wagner, son of the legendary Matt Wagner.

Written by Mike Mignola and Scott Allie
Illustrated by Christopher Mitten
Colored by Brennan Wagner
Lettered by Clem Robins

A small town in New Hampshire that has been plagued by disappearances is shaken when a local discovers a pile of corpses that date back decades, and Hellboy and B.P.R.D. Agent Kinsley arrive on the scene only to be overwhelmed by supernatural theories for the ritualistic killings.

Mike Mignola and Scott Allie team up with veteran Mignolaverse artist Christopher Mitten, along with new colorist Brennan Wagner and letterer Clem Robins.

August has a few other Mignola books; check out the rest of the month’s solicitations below:
