Debuting over at io9, we now have our very first teaser for the upcoming “Hellboy In Hell” ongoing by Mignola. Following the events of his death, Hellboy awakens in Hell and comes face first against his father for the worst family reunion of all time. The above image represents one side of a double sided poster that will be given away ECCC this weekend (the other featuring the cover to BPRD HOE – The Devil’s Engine #1), and the brief image alone creates excitement that is barely palpable.
Hellboy and BPRD respectively are two of the best ongoings in comics, and the world has been missing Hellboy books rather fervently for some time now. Mignola has promised that it is coming and even explained what is taking so long, but that doesn’t stop us from being fairly impatient. To get our first glimpse at the future of the title is, as Bill and Ted would say, most non-heinous.
