Marvel have announced “Hellions,” the latest series joining the ‘Dawn of X’ line in March. Written by Zeb Wells (“Amazing Spider-Man”) with art by Stephen Segovia (“Superior Carnage”), the comic will star a new team formed by Mister Sinister to do mutantkind’s dirty work. X-Men members Psylocke and Havok will also be overseeing the group, but as the synopsis asks, “will they be able keep these murderous baddies in line, or will the team’s deadly missions have them succumb to their own sinister natures?”

Zeb Wells commented in the press release, “I can’t believe I get a chance to play in the sandbox Jonathan Hickman and company have so brilliantly created. For my money it’s the most exciting game in town and I can’t wait to let this merry band of psychopaths loose in it.” Segovia added, “I am HUGE fan of Zeb Wells’ work. The moment I read his ‘Hellions’ pitch, I was blown away. It’s a new level of mutant stories and I was overjoyed and pumped to begin drawing it immediately. I can’t wait for you guys to see the magic we’re cooking up and I promise you’ll enjoy the ride!”

The Hellions were originally Emma Frost’s teenage mutant trainees serving the Hellfire Club, and were created by Chris Claremont and Sal Buscema for the “New Mutants” series in 1984. The new iteration will include original team member Empath, as well as Wild Child; the battlesuit-wearing Orphan-Maker and her partner Nanny; and the cyborg Scalphunter.

“Hellions” #1 will be released in March 2020.
