BOOM! Studios announced that they will be releasing a new all-ages original graphic novel from “Stutterhug” cartoonist Sam Davies. “Hex Vet” centers around Nan and Clarion, a pair of veterinarian witches in training whose patients run the gamut of magical animals. According to the press release, “these two witches will soon realize that they have a lot to learn — and not just about how to help a ghost cat have kittens.”
Davies is extremely enthusiastic about the book saying, “I’m in heaven. Unusual pets are a running theme in my webcomics work, so it’s exciting to expand that into a full story with characters who are totally unprepared to deal with all the creature troubles I’m going to throw at them.” Davies current work includes the webcomics “Stutterhug,” a collection of silent one-shots, and “The Shape of Things,” a silent ongoing series, both involving all kinds of magical creatures.

HEX VET is the latest release from BOOM!
