How Much Is DC Changing For Flashpoint?

All the information about Flashpoint has yet to be revealed, but that hasn’t stop endless speculation on the internet as well as various rumors to get spread about. It’s going to create a company wide change in reality a la Marvel’s House of M, but this time fairly Flash related.
Of course, it’s the additional information that we’re finding that makes things interesting. According to a report at Bleeding Cool, the following titles might be getting one-shots in relation to Flashpoint:
  • The Renegades
  • The Canterbury Cricket
  • Amethyst
  • Reverse Flash
  • Element Woman
  • Blackout
  • Britannia
  • Lady Luck

Canterbury Cricket? Hmm.

On top of that, information coming out of Comics Pro has created a brand new list of “cancelled” titles. If these titles are completely gone for good is uncertain as this could simply be a temporary change during the months Flashpoint is active, but as of now the list of books to go are:

  • Azrael
  • Batman: Streets of Gotham (which has, arguably, simply reached it’s end point now that Bruce Wayne is back and the Hush storyline is ending)
  • Batman Confidential
  • Outsiders (which is being retitled to Batman and the Outsiders for it’s 40th and final issue)
  • Freedom Fighters
  • Doom Patrol
  • REBELS
  • JSA All-Stars

REBELS and JSA All-Stars go much to my chagrin as those are both books I actively follow and enjoy, but c’est la vie. How many additional changes from Flashpoint are yet to be seen, but DC’s Solicits should be out soon so we should be able to get a good idea of what’s coming.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
