Apparently it’s Sam Humphries week and nobody told us! With a new ongoing from BOOM! and the debut of new art for his other upcoming book, it has now been announced the Humphries will be joining Jonathan Hickman on Marvel’s Ultimate Comics: Ultimates.
Beginning with issue #10, Humphries will be joining the title assumedly to help Hickman weave together threads left open from Ultimate Comics: Hawkeye (an assumption based on the image given out by Mavel in association with this announcement). Humphries will be writing the scripts and then passing them on to Hickman for adjustments, with the apparent plan to be for Humphries to take over the title indefinitely.
While not too many details were given, it was added that Luke Ross would be the artist for #10 and that in issue #9, Hickman “throws everything off a cliff.” #10 goes on sale in May.
