Today, we are thrilled to exclusively share the news of a new collaborative studio from some of our favorite artists out there. Folks, welcome to El Camino Art.

Made up of Ibrahim Moustafa (“Mother Panic: Gotham A.D.,” “Dr. Fate”), Justin Greenwood (“The Fuse,” “The Last Siege”), Ramon Villalobos (“Crone,” “Ivar, Time Walker”), Brian Level (“Hellblazer,” “We Can Never Go Home”), and Tony Gregori (“Deuce of Hearts,” “Starweed”), El Camino Art will be multiple things: a source of new comics, a place to buy prints and original art, as well as social media content where they’ll be sharing their process and works in progress.
To read more about them, check out the press release below, and make sure to visit their new website, elcaminoart.com.
Acclaimed comic book creators Justin Greenwood (Stumptown, Area 510), Ibrahim Moustafa (James Bond, COUNT), Ramon Villalobos (E is for Extinction, They’re All Terrible), Brian Level (Spider-Man, Poison Ivy), and Tony Gregori (TMNT, Rick and Morty) announced today the formation of EL CAMINO ART.
Comprised of close friends and colleagues, the group’s purpose is to present a community-based approach to engaging with their readers, art collectors, and fans of their work, under a collective banner which helps them provide creative and promotional support for one another.
El Camino’s mission statement reads: “We are a collective of working-class comic book artists from across the United States. Like our namesake, we were all produced between the years 1964 and 1987, all of us from blue collar backgrounds, and hard-driven toward the same labor of love; being creative professionals.
As readers, appreciators of art, and newfound friends, you can follow along in our pursuit of making:
-Comic books and original graphic novels
-Art prints
-Pages of original published comic book art available for purchase
-One-of-a-kind art commission pieces and sketches at a variety of price points
-Interactive video content via our YouTube presence
…And much more.
We welcome you to join us on The Road.
The group has plans to host virtual discussions around the art of comics and an interactive movie club via their YouTube presence, while their email newsletter will announce exclusive drops of original art and prints, themed group drawings, store and convention appearances, new releases, and more.
“I’m really excited to take this collaborative step forward with my friends” said Moustafa. “We think this will be a really unique way for people to discover our respective works, and for us to uplift each other in the process.”
