For a little while now, Image has been releasing a series of teasers (which we haven’t posted, but you can check out here) featuring a cast of teenagers with some yearbook “Most Likely” quotes attached. Those curious about what it is can now finally know.

Morning Glories, a new series by Nick Spencer (Existence, Forgetless, and Shuddertown), follows a series of kids in prep school, but not in any sort of normal variety. Described by Spencer as “Runaways meets LOST”, the book promises to be an interesting combination of sci-fi mystery with young adult based humor. The press release reads:

Morning Glory Academy is one of the most prestigious prep schools in the country. But behind it’s hallowed doors, something sinister and deadly lurks. When six brilliant but troubled new students arrive, they find themselves trapped and desperately seeking answers in a place where nothing is what it seems to be!

Hmm. Seems intriguing enough. Comparing yourself to LOST is always a pretty big remark to make, but with what little I know of Runaways, the description could be apt (though I’m unsure). It should be an interesting series, and I’m a fan of Image Comics. I can’t say I was huge on Forgetless, and I never bothered to finish reading it, but with the first issue being a double-sized debut, it might be worth checking out.

Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
