Kids, shine your astro-spurs and don your robot fists! Announced in a press release just sent out from Image Comics, my dreams have come true because the Thrilling Adventure Hour is hopping out of my ears and in front of my eyes in two new comic books from Image Comics.

After a successful graphic novel release, let alone a regularly awesome live show, the Thrilling Adventure Hour will now see two of its regular shows spinning out into comic form. Both written by Ben Acker and Ben Blacker, comics will now be blessed with the regular ongoing adventures of Sparks Nevada, Marshall on Mars and the continued adventures of Frank and Sadie Doyle from “Beyond Belief.”

In “Spark Nevada, Marshall on Mars,” the book finds J. Bone and Jordie Bellaire illustrating and coloring the continued adventures of the greatest space cowboy and his Martian companion Croach the Tracker. Played by Marc Evan Jackson and Mark Gagliardi, where there’s varmints need a’ catching and young ‘uns need a’ saving, on his rocket steed he races across the stars for he’s sworn by the burrs of his astro spurs to right the outlaw wrongs on Mars. Plus, J. Bone and Jordie Bellaire!

Then in “Beyond Belief,” meet Frank and Sadie Doyle: toast of the upper crust, headliners on the society pages — and oh yes, they see ghosts. Illustrated by Phil Hester with John Rauch, everyone’s favorite alcoholic married mediums played by Paget Brewster and PF Tompkins in a monthly comic is probably more than I should ask for on my Hannukah list — but that hasn’t stopped me in the past. Here’s to you!

Both books will be lettered by Marshall Dillon, and both books launch in February.

Seeing “Thrilling Adventure Hour” live and having listened to the show for a few years now, this is totally exciting news. Kudos to Bens Acker and Blacker for now only finding the perfectly named writing partner for each other, but also for now figuring out how to bring their stories to life in more ways with new comic books. I, for one, can not wait to see what they do with it.

And if you’ve never listened to the Thrilling Adventure Hour, then get to it.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
