Award-winning creators Karl Kesel (“Superboy,” “Harley Quinn”) and Tom Grummett (“X-Men Forever,” “The Death of Superman,” “Superboy”) are releasing a new volume of “Section Zero” this April at Image/Shadowline. This comes after a successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2017 to resurrect the short-lived 2000s comic.

According to Kesel, “Ever since 2000, Tom and I have constantly tried to bring ‘Section Zero’ back. Almost two decades later, we finally found a way to finish what we’d begun. The cherry on top is seeing the book return to where it all started—Image Comics.”

“Section Zero” will kick off with ‘Part One: Ground Zero,’ reintroducing fans to the series that is being dubbed as “Jack Kirby does The X-Files.” In it, readers will meet a team of fearless adventurers who uncover the secrets behind UFOs, monsters, and lost civilizations.

The first volume will feature alternate covers by artists like Walter Simonson, George Perez, Adam Hughes, Dave Gibbons, Mike Wieringo, and more. Check out a few examples below.

In addition to print, “Section Zero” will be available for across multiple digital platforms, including the official Image Comics iOS app, Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play.
