The first time we interviewed Eric Stephenson, he said he wanted to do a book with Brian K Vaughan. Sure enough, along came Saga, with Vaughan and Fiona Staples. When we later interviewed Stephenson, he said he wanted to do a book a with Grant Morrison. Well, we probably should have seen this coming, no?

Reported by our man on the floor Gilbert Short, it looks like Grant Morrison is coming to Image Comics, and he’s bringing Darick Robertson (The Boys, Transmetropolitan) along with him. Entitled Happy!, literally nothing more was said about the series — not even a full plot synopsis. In an exclusive interview posted at iFanboy, however, Morrison revealed that it is “set around Christmas”, is a genre he has never written before with a bizarre twist, and is the first of a few books planned for release at Image.

If that doesn’t get you excited, I’m really not sure what will.

We’ll let you know more as we discover it, but for now, be happy.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
