Sent over this morning from Image Comics, the above image — a parody/homage to Shepard Fairey’s famous HOPE poster — features Butcher Baker, the Righteous Maker over one simple word: PATIENCE.

The last time we had an issue of Butcher Baker, it was issue #7 and it was released in October, although it was originally scheduled for September. Issue #8, originally scheduled for October, was never seen, but Image’s website has its release scheduled come February. There is no news on the possible existence of a #9, but given that Butcher Baker was scheduled as an ongoing, one could assume to maybe see it in the future, once Mike Huddleston’s work on The Strain for Dark Horse has cleared up a bit.

Butcher Baker has continually been one of our favorite books, from back when it first came out to well into its run. Needless to say, anticipation for #8 in February is very high, and further installments even higher.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
