Image Teases A New Book (That We’re Pretty Sure is Jordan and Strahm’s “Spread”)

Earlier today, Image Comics sent out the following teaser:

The e-mail came with the headline “It’s spreading,” and while I’m no expert, the image seems incredibly similar in style to stuff that I saw in an ashcan Justin Jordan was handing out at NYCC 2013 for a book he was shopping to publishers called “Spread” with Kyle Strahm.

Take a look at the cover for the aforementioned “Spread” ashcan:

I say pretty sure in the headline, but I’m being coy. Jordan and Strahm’s “Spread” is coming to Image, and if the ashcan is anything to judge on, this series is going to be fucking mental in the best of ways. Like “Lone Wolf and Cub” meets Slither or The Thing.

You want a sample?

Yeah. I know.

Congrats to Jordan and Strahm (and Felipe Sobreiro, who will be coloring the book) and seriously, look forward to this one.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
