It’s a little late to throw this under the Image Expo hashtag, but we’ll allow it.

Posted on his tumblr, super artist Christian Ward has shared some of his character designs for “ODY-C,” his upcoming book with Matt Fraction. Re-telling Homer’s “Odyssey” but featuring an entirely gender swapped cast, the first designs for the book were shown at this year’s Image Expo on stage and presented by Fraction — and now, for those of us who were at home, we can finally get our first look at them too.

Take a look at some of the gender swapped designs for characters of Greek myth:

“ODY-C” is set to debut this summer from Image Comics. Get hyped.

Fun fact: “ODY-C” is the second re-interpretation of Homer’s “Odyssey” at Image Comics, after Duggan/Noto’s “The Infinite Horizon”, and it is Christian Ward’s second time playing with Greek myth after “Olympus,” also at Image Comics! GREE-EEK MY-TH! *CLAP!* *CLAP!* *CLAPCLAPCLAP!*

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
