Image’s FCBD Offering To Offer Up Taste Testers Menu Of Six Brand New Books

As revealed on the Free Comic Book Day website (via Buzz Comics), Image Comics will be releasing an anthology book this year for FCBD offering up six previews of upcoming Image books to be released later this year. While four of the titles are yet to be announced, we now know two of the books being previewed in the issue: a new G-Man book by Chris Giarrusso and Revival, a brand new ongoing by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton.

We at Multiversity have certainly known ourselves to be avid Image supporters, whether it is gushing about upcoming solicits, chatting with their talent or looking forward to their upcoming year, but it has literally gotten to the point where we are likely to buy any new #1 coming from Image over any other company out there. And why not? Image continues to push the envelope in terms of output, continually looking for content that seeks to do something new and legitimately exciting, all with the hopes of creating comics not just to read, but to truly love with impunity (and if you need further convincing of Image’s heart at work, check out one of our bi-annual chats with Image’s publisher, Eric Stephenson). And with 2012 ending up as Image’s 20th anniversary, expect to see a lot from the publisher throughout the year that will — not to hyperbolize too much — knock your socks off.

But I digress. We all love comics. The fine folks at Image, from the behind the scenes folks to the creators, just really want to remind everyone why.

Take a peek after the cut for a four page preview of Seeley and Norton’s Revival as it appears in Image’s FCBD 2012 offering, and get psyched for a bevy of upcoming creator-owned titles coming out throughout the year.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
