Yesterday’s “Infinity Countdown: Adam Warlock” included a checklist revealing that the five-issue “Infinity Countdown” series shall be accompanied by some one-shots and more miniseries starting in May:

Along with that month’s “Infinity Countdown” #3, May will begin a four-issue “Darkhawk” series, written by the “X-Men ’92” Chris Sims and Chad Bowers (formerly of this site), and drawn by Gang Hyuk Lim (“Iron Man Hong Kong Heroes”). The miniseries will see Darkhawk return to New York after falling out with the Fraternity of Raptors over the Power Stone, and will double-ship in June to conclude with “Infinity Countdown” in July.

We’ll also get a “Daredevil” one-shot from main writer Gerry Duggan and artist Chris Sprouse (“Tom Strong”) – which will have Matt Murdock stumbling onto the Mind Stone – and a “Captain Marvel” spotlight written by Jim McCann (“Hawkeye & Mockingbird,” “Widowmaker”) and penciled by Diego Olortegui (“Ms. Marvel”). Like “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Carol’s own ongoing has gone on hiatus during this event: current writer Margaret Stohl has already confirmed further story arcs in the works. This issue will see her return to Earth with the Reality Stone from the alternate dimension featured in her title, and have her contact other bearers of her title, including the deceased Mar-Vell.

In June we’ll receive a “Black Widow” one-shot – possibly starring the space pirate version from the alternate reality introduced in “Captain Marvel” – and the first of two “Champions” tie-ins. The creative teams for those will be presumably revealed ahead of next month’s solicitations. In the meantime, head on over to Marvel for more on these books, and to check out a handy diagram of the Infinity Circuit, which will help you keep track of what’s been happening with the Infinity Stones in the comics so far.
