Well, the wait is finally over. Announced on the BBC tonight, the Twelfth Doctor finally has a face: Peter Capaldi! He was one of the names at the top of the bookies’ list for who the next Doctor would by and for good reason, apparently. For those of you unfamiliar with Capaldi, well then you need to track down and watch The Thick Of It, where he played Scottish National Treasure, Malcolm Tucker. He was also in the Doctor Who episode ‘The Fires Of Pompeii’ alongside Karen Gillan, who would go on to play Amy Pond. And he was also in Torchwood: Children Of Earth. Guy sure does get around, doesn’t he?
Personally, this is exactly the guy I wanted for the next Doctor. I love this guy and I have no doubt he will do an amazing job. But what do you guys think? Love him? Hate him? Wish he was Idris Elba? Let us know!
