Marvel just posted the teaser image above with absolutely no more information to go with it, save stating that it is “a sneak peak at April 2010.” While at first my mind went in the direction of Brian Michael Bendis’ tweet from last week in which he talked about putting Skrull, Galactus, and Osborn in his spell checker, I quickly realized what this actually is: the second teaser image to Jonathan Hickman and Dustin Weaver’s upcoming SHIELD series that launches in April.
While we’ve seen Galactus already in preview pages from Weaver, the revelation that this series will involve the Infinity Gems and whatever that skull is are new. It’s an interesting image and one that will likely stir up fan speculation. One way or another, my excitement just continues to grow for this title.
