Perhaps this was the plan all along; perhaps this was ABC brass exerting pressure; perhaps it was the creators listening to the fans. Regardless of what got us here, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to get a visitor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the form of Lady Sif from the Thor films, Jaimie Alexander.
News broke of this during ABC’s presentation at the Television Critics Association 2014 Press Tour, ABC executive Paul Lee broke the news of the Alexander guest spot on episode 15, saying that it is filming right now. He also said that while the show’s drop in ratings is “disappointing,” ABC feels committed to the show for the long term.
The episode should air in mid-February, barring any unannounced breaks in the season.
