Here’s something great for your Thursday afternoon — remember “Body Bags?” Jason Pearson’s creator-owned book featuring Clownface and Panda and a whole lot of mayhem? We haven’t seen it a long time outside of an Image release of the second trade last December (containing the 12-Guage stories), and Pearson himself hasn’t done too much in comics due to some personal issues.

Well, as revealed on Jason Pearson’s Facebook (with a hat tip to Robot 6), “Body Bags” and Pearson are back, and this is something to get very excited about. Pearson’s book was fast-paced, quirky, hilarious and action packed, and Pearson’s artwork is incredibly vibrant. It’s a book like no other, really, with a character relationship that pre-dates Millar’s Big Daddy/Hit-Girl in terms of family-to-violence ratio, so if you’re a fan of books like “Kick-Ass” and are looking to see what real comic carnage can look like, check out this cover for the “Body Bags” One-Shot:

Yeah. Exactly.

Pearson will be coloring this new volume of the series himself, and while a home for it hasn’t been released it shouldn’t matter — you’re going to want to pick it up regardless.

Find the first two trades of “Body Bags” from Image in stores now and get stoked.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
