Announced in DC’s solicitations for December, it looks like Multiversity favorite and King Astronaut Jeff Parker will be devotin’ full time to floatin’ on the Aquaman ongoing from current DC CCO Geoff Johns, with Paul Pelletier remaining on the series.
Parker promises lots of aquatic ass-kicking and general joy to the world in the wake of the mini-event arc from Johns and Pelletier that ends with a double-sized finale in November. The solicit reads:

“Sea of Storms” begins with the debut of new AQUAMAN writer Jeff Parker! The Earth’s crust is grinding to life, releasing deadly volcanoes and bizarre creatures…so humanity’s first instinct is to blame Atlantis! And as the plates pull apart, the pressures of ruling a kingdom under siege are weighing on Aquaman and Mera as well!
DC has been getting a lot of negative publicity as of late, including in regards to Aquaman who is apparently not married (despite his book literally stating otherwise), but Jeff Parker being the new writer of Aquaman is beyond good news. Parker has an excellent history in company-owned comics at Marvel, with tremendous runs on “Thunderbolts”/”Dark Avengers” and “Hulk” (starring Red Hulk, and completely turning the book around from the critically derided previous run). If there’s anyone whose take over of a series is something to look forward to, Parker on “Aquaman” is certainly the one.
As a lapsed DC reader who bowed out from the publisher’s content not that long ago, I’m certainly looking forward to seeing what he brings to the aquatic table.
