Get ready for the return of Overman, Uncle Sam, and the Freedom Fighters.

The website UPROXX exclusively revealed today that artist Jim Lee is joining writer Grant Morrison for February’s chapter of “The Multiversity”, which will feature the Nazi version of Superman going up against the Freedom Fighters and the “mysterious” Uncle Sam. With Lee on pencils, we can expect an action-packed issue with cinematic flair when it goes on sale February 18, 2015. This marks the first time the two have worked together since their never-completed run on WildC.A.T.s in 2006.

UPROXX also revealed that on February 25, “The Multiversity Director’s Cut” #1 will be released. Usually these special editions only feature the pencils with very little extras. What makes this director’s cut special is the fact that it comes polybagged with Rian Hughes’ awesome Map of the Multiverse. After getting a poster version of it at SDCC, I can honestly say it will make many comic book readers’ eyes light up with the possibility that the worlds of the Multiverse bring to the future of the DC Universe. The book will also include character designs by Morrison and Ivan Reis that should also pique the interest of “The Multiversity” readers.
