A long, long time ago, we shared with you this up and coming creator named Yale Stewart who was doing some adorable strips starring pint-sized iterations of DC’s classic characters.

Today? We share with you some exciting news.

Popping up on Amazon.com (and spotted by Bleeding Cool), it looks like Yale Stewart has finally got himself a licensed deal doing a Superman book entitled “The Amazing Adventures of Superman!” Available in either a $15.80 trade or a $95.96 hardcover (WHAT!), nothing is said about the book other than it is slated to come out July 1st via Capstone Publishers. But if it’s anything like his work on JL8, I’d imagine it will be quite delightful.

So since there’s not too much else to report here, here’s a picture of Yale that we snapped at our NYCC 2013 Party with Image Comics. He looks like he’s really thoughtful, maybe thinking about what he’d do with his own Superman book or something, but really I think he was just watching some sports on a television:

Congrats, Yale! We can’t wait to see the completed book.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
