Though we’ve known Josh Brolin was set to voice Thanos, the Mad Titan in the upcoming Marvel Studios films, Marvel confirmed the actor’s casting when he leaped out onto tonight’s Marvel Studios panel at SDCC and devoured a purple flower.
Celebrities, am i right?
Prior to Brolin’s flower slaughter, some new footage from Age of Ultron was shown. Instead of trying to concisely describe it, we’ll just list some bullet points:
- “There’s only one path to peace. Your extinction.” – Ultron, who’s shown fully formed in the footage.
- Hulkbuster Iron Man armor
- Banner roaming around in a forest.
- Explosions
- “Nothing lasts forever.” – Scarlet Witch
- Iron Man looking over the bodies of the fallen Avengers
- A party scene where everyone tries picking up Mjolnir, Cap is able to move it a little.
All in all, that sounds like some pretty exciting stuff. Hopefully, Steve’s ability to move the hammer will come back around for Age of Ultron‘s third act battle. We’ll keep you updated as more details spill out, especially any of the footage described above.
