In today’s Marvel Live Blog, it was announced that Kieron Gille and Andy Lanning would be writing a crossover for their books Journey Into Mystery and New Mutants entitled “Exiled.”

The books had been lightly crossing over lately, in particular with the demon hell puppies, inclusion of Mephisto and Danielle Moonstar, and Kieron Gillen even wrote an issue of New Mutants back during Siege which repowered Moonstar to become Hela’s valkyrie. While no strict plot synopsis was offered, it has been noted that the politics of Hell will come into play and the Dsir (a story Gillen has been building up for quite some time, since the events of Siege) will play a major role in the story’s focus, with appearances by Asgardian heavy hitters Thor, Hela, the Warriors Three and Sif. In addition to that, where previous X-Men/Asgardian crossovers saw the mutants going to Asgard, this will instead bring Asgard to San Francisco.

The crossover will be illustrated by Carmine Di Giandomenico and will run as a five issue event between Journey Into Mystery #637-378 and New Mutants #32-33, with an Exiled one-shot to start. It wll also see reverberations from the Avengers vs X-Men event, which will be happening at the same time.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
