“Justice League Canada” Becomes “Justice League United” With One Hell of a Line-Up

Rumored for a while, Jeff Lemire has now confirmed that his previously announced “Justice League Canada” title will become “Justice League United”, as he and DC agreed that the scope and scale of the book has greatly expanded past Canada into “cosmic” (!!!) levels. That makes sense, given the completely fantastic line-up of the team, with Animal Man, Adam Strange, Martian Manhunter, Stargirl, Supergirl, Green Arrow, Alanna Strange and Hawkman being involved, as well as a currently unrevealed, brand new First Nations Canadian character.

Set to arrive in April in a Zero issue with art from Mike McKone, the first arc will fittingly be titled “Justice League Canada” given that the title will still be set in “Moosonee, Ontario and their missions will juxtapose adventures firmly set in rural Canada with more cosmic, planet-hopping high adventure around the galaxy” (per Lemire himself).

This book sounds pretty awesome. Look for more as it approaches, but totally, totally rad.
