Interesting. Very interesting. In the past couple of years, we’ve seen DC and Warner Bros. Animation really push their line of DC Universe Original Animated Movies, that adapt comic book storylines into hour and a half long animated films. All of them have ranged from pretty good to Superman Vs. The Elite level of transcendent adaptations that are unbelievably good. The next film on DC’s catalogue with be Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, which will adapt the “Flashpoint” storyline by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert.

That lead, obviously, to speculation about whether or not Dc would follow that up with an animated film about the New 52 storyline. As you can see from the tweet above, it’s been announced at this year’s Comic Con Internatiol that they will. The next film will be Justice League: War and will adapt the opening arc of “Justice League” by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee and will likely see the Justice League form once more in response to Darkseid attacking Earth.

But now the question remains is what other New 52 storylines would you like to see get an animated adaptation. I would definitely tip Court Of Owls from Snyder and Capullo’s “Batman” as well as “Dial H” because I want to see how freaky that animation could get.

Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
