Via ComicBook.com, DC Comics have announced “Justice League Infinity,” a seven-part series set in the continuity of Justice League Unlimited, by writers James Tucker and J.M. DeMatteis, with art by Ethen Beavers. The comic will feature the Justice League — including but not limited to Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash (Wally West), Green Lantern (John Stewart), Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter — “banding together to face new dangers that not only threaten Earth but the multiverse itself,” with Tucker, DeMatteis and Beavers getting the chance to use a plethora of characters from DC’s multiverse.

DC’s description for the debut issue reads, “There is a being wandering the universe searching for its true purpose, but what it finds out on the farthest edges of the cosmos will change not just our universe, but many!” The comic will also deal with the fallout of Darkseid’s disappearance in the series finale, as “the war for the throne of Apokolips arrives on Earth, and the true ruler will only be decided one way: who can destroy the Justice League?”

Tucker served as a producer on the animated series, while DeMatteis wrote seven episodes during the series’ run, including the fan-favorite adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’s classic Superman tale “For the Man Who Has Everything.” Beavers worked as a storyboard artist on the show, and his other comic book credits include previous DCAU tie-in comics, as well as “Indiana Jones Adventures.”

“Justice League Infinity” #1 arrives digitally on comiXology and other participating digital platforms on Thursday, May 13, 2021. The 20-page print issue hits comic book stores on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. The main cover is by Francis Manapul, with a card stock variant cover by Scott Hepburn.
