It’s finally here! The first trailer for Justice League has finally dropped and instead of reading about my nonsense, why don’t you do ahead and watch it first:
Well, that looks… exactly how I imagined a Zack Snyder Justice League film to look.
Cheesy rock soundtrack? Check. Impressive visual shots that tricks you in thinking the action scene will be coherent? Check. Grey on grey on grey on grey colour palette? Ultra check.
This trailer basically serves as a condensed version of what we saw at Comic Con as Bruce Wayne assemble as a League of heroes to combat an Apokoliptan invasion. We get some jokes, we get some action, we get some vague dialogue about an “Age Of Heroes” and we get some decidedly bad green screen effects in some shots.
Could this be the movie to save the DCEU? I don’t know. After three decidedly divisive (and personally disappointing) films, that boat has sailed for me and I don’t know what could get me to care about a DC film again.
But I’m sure people will at least have more fun with this than with Dawn Of Justice.
