Kapow 11′: Man of Steel: Kneel Before Michael Shannon

In news broken today, Michael Shannon, perhaps best known for his role as Nelson Van Alden on Boardwalk Empire, has been confirmed as General Zod at Kapow! in the upcoming movie Man of Steel.

He joins Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, and Zack Snyder on a project that seeks to reboot the Superman franchise in 2012. Also coming from Kapow!; it seems the movie will take a note out of The Dark Knight’s playbook and instead of Superman: Man of Steel, it’ll be known as simply Man of Steel.
