As spotted on Comic Book Resources this morning, the new trailer for Dredd is now live after a first showing on Attack of the Show. Starring Karl Urban as the titular character, it gives a great look at Mega-City One as Urban stalks through the trailer growling as much as Bane’s Batman does, but with far more one-liners and the same amount of scolwing. You’ll also get a brief tease of Cersei Lannister Lena Headey as Ma-Ma Madrigal and Olivia Thirbly as Cassandra Anderson, the staple rookie cop out to prove herself alongside Dredd.
Even if you’ve never read a Dredd comic in your life, the trailer is worth watching just to hear him grunt “I’m the law” and “judgement time.” If this movie is made up primarily of puns about his name and occupation, I’ll be pleased on that alone.
