EMBED-Geek and Gamer Girls Song – Watch more free videos

I don’t listen to Katy Perry. I have no idea what the song “California Gurls” sounds like, though I’ve heard it sounds exactly like “Tik Tok”. However, that doesn’t stop me from approving a bunch of girls who have decided to dress as comic book and video game characters in order to sing.

The group of Team Unicorn (Michele Boyd, Clare Grant, Milynn Sarley and Rileah Vanderbilt) have made the above video that we ganked from Break.com. The parody is quite obvious, and it is full of various geek references (as pointed out by MTV’s Splash Page), such as issues of the Walking Dead and Wonder Woman in the American Beauty scene, Milynn Sarley dressed as Psylocke, other characters dressed as Spidey and the Flash, and even an appearance from Stan “the Man” Lee.

Check the video out above and prepare to think that that Katy Perry song isn’t so bad anymore.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
