Despite massive delays due to commitments from the creative team, Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall will be returning to stands come this August with the plan to see the series through to it’s end.
Initially debuting in last October, only two issues have shipped since then with a few extra scenes making it into Mark Millar’s CLiNT before making it to the comic. Kick-Ass 2 sees Millars original superhero satire expanded to a world full of people like Kick-Ass, and that’s when the villains start to show up as well.
Millar and Romita plan to have the book back on schedule with the Hit-Girl spin-off that John Romita Jr will not be illustrating as well instead of the originally announced Leandro Fernandez, which will be set in between Kick-Ass 1 and 2. As of now, the duo are hoping to have both books completed and in shops by the end of next summer. There are also plans for Kick-Ass 3, which will be the end of the series.
