Debuting over at MTV Geek, the first trailer for the upcoming sequel to Kick-Ass has been revealed, showing off an older Chloe Moretz, an angrier Christopher Mintz-Plasse and a more ripped Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Oh, yeah, and Jim Carrey in his new role as Colonel Stars and Stripes.
Of course, if you read “Kick-Ass 2”, then you assuredly know what to expect. And boy, will this be a rather insane movie.
I should at least note that I (representing Multiversity, I suppose) rather loudly bashed both the script and the movie, even before it was released, so I’m probably not the person to ask as to whether or not this movie will be good.
However, the movie could be fun just to hear Jim Carrey’s accent. And to see how far they take it, considering “Kick-Ass 2” crossed some rather excessive lines with violence for the sake of violence in order to entertain. But it’s Mark Millar, and that’s what he does, so no big shock there.
Kick-Ass 2 hits theaters in August.
