Matt Kindt is doing really well right now. With “Mind MGMT” being regularly amazing and his latest graphic novel earned a 10.0 review from us. His recent back-up stints in “JLA” have been well-received, and his run in “Frankenstein”, no matter how short, was still a great cap-off to the series. And while one might think his home is at DC right now, it looks like Kindt is finding more and more of a home with Marvel. It started with an “Age of Ultron” tie-in and now, just in time for Marvel’s next big event, Kindt is getting a full-on mini.

Entitled “The Hunt” and illustrated by the magnificently talented (and fresh off a big successful Kickstarter) Steven Sanders, the book is a revival of “Contest of Champions”, which was Marvel’s first limited series. “Contest” saw several heroes pitted in a battle against each other by massive cosmic entities, and “The Hunt” will be similar in a fashion. Focusing on teen heroes not picked up by Arcade for “Avengers Arena,” the book will find characters like Quentin Quire, Genesis and a bevy of newcharacters as Hank Pym, Wolverine and She-Hulk are forced to enroll these children in a deathmatch curated by Thanos and the events of “Infinity.”

With some work set involving Kindt in “Trinity War” tie-ins as well as this, it looks like things are pretty much All Kindt, All The Time right now. And we can’t complain about that.

As for Sanders, seeing him on more Marvel work is always exciting. Sanders made a real impression with “SWORD” and the release of his recent Kickstarter to backers is one of the more highly anticipated Kickstarter productions. I never say no to new Sanders artwork, and I can’t imagine why anyone ever would.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
