Marvel’s ‘King in Black’ event concludes in March, and so will Matthew Rosenberg and Juan Ferreyra’s tie-in miniseries “King in Black: Thunderbolts,” which kicks off with the first of three issues next month. The series, which will mark the enlisted supervillain team’s first since 2017, will see Mayor Wilson Fisk bringing together the likes of Taskmaster, Rhino, Star, Mr. Fear, and Batroc the Leaper to defend New York during Knull’s invasion. Here’s an exclusive first look at the third and final issue, as well as the solicitation for the book:

THE EXPLOSIVE FINALE!

• What are the Thunderbolts doing with the Sentry’s body?

• Oh… Oh, no. Really? That’s the plan??? Well, as long as everything comes out all right in the end.

• Wait, THAT’S how it ends??? YIKES.

“King in Black: Thunderbolts” #1 releases January 13, 2021, and the second issue will follow on February 10. Issue #2 of “King in Black” itself releases this week, and will conclude with issue #2 in March.
