We told you so, didn’t we?

Revealed today on USA Today, the line-up for Marvel’s previously teased “Superior” book has been revealed: Dan Slott, Ryan Stegman, Humberto Ramos and Giuseppe Camuncoli. Slott is the known writer of Spider-Man and has said that he has big plans for the character’s future, and Ramos and Camuncoli are staple artists in his run (Camuncoli is illustrating the current arc). Adding Ryan Stegman, former “Scarlet Spider” artist, just makes things that much better.

We should note: USA Today’s article theorizes a few possibilities, but the one oversight to their article is that file title: “superiorspiderman_marvelnow_teaser2-4_3_r560.” We’re calling it like it is: “Amazing Spider-Man” ends at #700, relaunches as “Superior Spider-Man” #1 in January.

Expect an announcement next week at NYCC.

So, we were right about Spider-Man being Superior. Now, let’s see how right we were about our other two theories: that Peter Parker is not the Superior Spider-Man and that whatever causes the “Superior” relaunch is Doc Ock’s fault. We are now taking bets.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
