You may remember a little while back when we told you about Night Vale and Thrilling Adventure Hour teaming-up at Emerald City Comic Con. I don’t know why you’d forget something as awesome as that.
Well, the good news is that the same people who have put together this event, Ladykiller, have announced an additional (and equally awesome-sounding) event to kick-off Emerald City Comic Con on Thursday night!
Entitled “I <3 Comic Art," the event is acting as a fundraiser to raise money for an artist grant for a Seattle comic artist. Independent artists are encouraged to submit their work to Danielle Davis at Ladykiller, and all of the submitted work will be showcased at the event. Then, if you come, you'll get to vote on who your favorite artist is, and they will get a new grant to pursue their artwork! How cool is that?It's $12 a ticket, all of which helps fund the grant, and it'll be a fun night with a comic-themed burlesque show and an auction for attendees. OH!
