We’re late to this party and god only knows how long this type of thing will stay up, but The Devil’s Eyes has posted test footage of Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool and…well, it’s perfect. It’s basically the ideal form of Deadpool, and the perfect role for Reynolds at the same time (like many speculated it would be). Unlike the version from “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, this version understands the character and realizes that the thing that makes him special isn’t necessarily his physical capabilities (which are shown excellently in the video above), but the irreverent humor that’s like an R rated Spider-Man.
This video is straight up rad, and having seen it, I have to agree with Rob Liefeld: what’s the hold up Fox? Audiences would be all over this.
