Let’s Be Friends Again Goes FULL TIME

We at Multiversity are fairly selective in what we read when it comes to web strips. We all love a good serialized story, but few online comics can effectively lampoon the industry in an entertaining way that doesn’t also seem fairly (and/or unnecessarily) insulting on a regular basis. This is the realm that Let’s Be Friends Again exists in – but today, it appears that changes.

With today’s comic, Curt Franklin and Chris Haley appear to be changing their set-up a tad, now offering up more serialized stories assumedly featuring the original characters that have appeared in the comic so far, as well as the normal humor-oriented strips. In addition to that, they’ll be starting a new talent pool with LBFA!, starting with themselves as well as DJ Adam Warrock (aka Eugene Ahn), in which to create a positive artistic collective (which you can read more about right here). Part of this seems like a reaction to a previous strip, noting the success of a comic like AxeCop, and the rest of it seems like the obviously natural progression for artists to make when they take their work seriously. Either way, more content from the team seems to be a good thing, especially if their first teaser is any sign of what is to come.

Either way, be sure to check out Let’s Be Friends Again if you’re a fan of comics, Jack Kirby, Grant Morrison, and/or humor. If there was ever a time to “hop on board,” that time would assuredly be now.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
