We had been told that Lex Luthor was going to be a big player in the DCU post-“Forever Evil,” and here is the proof: starting in April, Lex will be leading the Justice League in their main title, according the Associated Press.

Along with “former” Rogue Captain Cold, the team includes Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Captain Marvel [Note: The article from the AP lists hims as Captain Marvel, not Shazam, so I’m going with that – ed.]. The cover to the issue appears to be by David Finch, but that cannot be confirmed at this time.

In that same piece, DC CCO Geoff Johns says that, due to the events of “Forever Evil,” the Justice League feels responsible, and must go through radical changes to ensure it won’t happen again.

“Justice League” #30, written by Johns and illustrated by Ivan Reis, is due out on April 23.
