At GameSpot, Titan Comics have announced a four-issue comic book based on the video game Life is Strange will be released sometime this year. Further details, namely the creative team and release date, were not revealed, though the full press release promised more details soon.

A five-part adventure game, Life is Strange was released in 2015 to great acclaim, winning numerous awards including the BAFTA Game Award for Best Story, and Facebook and Peabody’s Futures of Media Award. The game revolved around photography student Max Caulfield, who discovers she can rewind time when she witnesses the murder of her childhood friend Chloe Price. Max reconnects with Chloe, and starts to investigate the mysterious goings on at Blackwell Academy, including the disappearance of Chloe’s friend Rachel Amber, and Max’s alarming visions of a hurricane…

A four-part prequel, Before the Storm, chronicling Chloe and Rachel’s relationship, recently wrapped up, and a sequel focusing on a new cast of characters is in development. (A webseries adaptation by Legendary was also put into development.) Titan stated the comic will return “to the setting of Arcadia Bay, offering fans the opportunity to dive back into the story of its beloved characters,” indicating the comic will feature Chloe and Max, or at least some of the other characters from Blackwell Academy, which is pictured in the press release.
