The Strange Talent of Luther Strode is by far and large one of our favorite debuts of this year (if not the debut), combining fantastic storytelling and art for one whopper of a story. We ranted about it once, we ranted about it twice, and now it looks like you listened: Luther Strode’s first printing has sold out!
Telling the story of a scrawny young man named Luther Strode who finds a unique way to buff up, Luther Strode is a violent slasher-fest of good time comic fun, and the first issue is only the tip of the iceberg. The book will be coming back in November for a second printing with an all new and completely bad ass cover, just in time for the second issue to hit stores as well. If you haven’t already run out to your local store and picked up a copy by now, you’re only doing yourself a disservice, but I suppose that’s what second printings are for.

THE STRANGE TALENT OF LUTHER STRODE, writer Justin Jordan and artist Tradd Moore’s six part series from Image Comics, has proven to be even more popular than anticipated and has sold out at distribution level. While the debut issue of this hot new comic may still be available through some comic book retailers, first printing copies are limited to current stock. A second printing is underway and will arrive back on shelves next month, appearing alongside the second issue.
