In news broken to Comingsoon.net and CBR, John Malkovich, famous for getting inside his own head in “Being John Malkovich”, will don the green feathers and play The Vulture in the upcoming Spider-Man 4!
My thoughts behind the cut:
I can’t say I’m surprised, since the studio getting too involved caused the third film to be completely lackluster, despite it’s success. What I am disappointed in is that the folks at Sony don’t really seem to know much about comics. There are many “viable options” and there has been a thread running throughout all the movies. And that thread is Dr. Curt Connors. It would be really cool to see The Lizard running amok throughout the city of New York, and it would be even cooler to see Spidey caught in between Lizard and Kraven.
But what do I know? I’m not investing millions of dollars into such a large franchise. But I DO know Spider-Man 3 sucked because of too many cooks in the kitchen.
