The idea of being a comic artist during the Christmas season is a great one, as you can design your own awesome cards without having to go through the troubles of finding the least horrible Hallmark card. While a lot of creators out there are throwing down their efforts, I for one find Declan Shalvey’s (28 Days Later, Thunderbolts) effort to be the best. Why?
Because it combines yuletide joy with Marvel’s heroic Christmas tree Man-Thing into one hysterically great image. It’s a good thing that Man-Thing is used to celebrate this holiday rather than others. He would not fit in very well at Halloween – too many burn victims.
