“In 1987, schoolboy Mark Millar asked Dave Gibbons to draw one of his stories. In 2012, that dream came true.” These are the words that read on a new ad released today in Superior #6 from Millarworld and Icon, teasing Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ new creator-owned title, The Secret Service.

While little is known about the title right now, we do know a few things. It was co-created by Matthew Vaughan, director of the film Kick-Ass, and is being simultaneously crafted to be both a feature film and a comic book by the famous team of creators. Millar also plans to auction off the name of the book’s villain, but outside of that Millar plans to give no additional details about the book until the middle of November when the twelfth issue of his magazine CLiNT hits stands.

We’ll let you know more about the book as we find it, but for now we at least have a title. Maybe next we’ll learn what’s the deal with that Frank Quitely book?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
